Mangez frais

We arrived in Nice at about 8 at night. We walked around in search of some nice, traditional Niçois cuisine (but still in our budget of course).

We saw some restaurants, but weren't that hungry really. Kebab didn't sound good, and neitherdid, after coming from Italy for three weeks, pizza.

So where did we end up eating dinner on ourfirst night in France - in the French Riviera, no less? Why, le Subway, of course.

every time i go to another country, i start scrambling to find a starbucks. i can imagine the comfort subway might bring you two.
but two questions remain:
1)did you get avocado on your sandwich?
2)did you steal any chips?

Sadly, the European Subways guard their chips much better than that glorious free chip haven in Westwood. Also, these ones aren't open 24 hours (but a lot of kebab stands are). And while I didn't have avocado, I did have ranch dressing on my sandwich. THAT was a great comfort. I could drink a liter of that stuff (yeah, I think in metric now).

subway! that is a travesty. couldn't you have at least found a quizno's? you should've eaten a tuna nicoise salad with nicoise olives.
